Michael Hibbs’ daughter Savannah contracted an aggressive type of Leukemia at the age of two. His wife Liz was at the hospital full time during her treatment while Michael was at home juggling his business as a racehorse trainer, looking after their three other children and making daily visits to the hospital. Redkite helped the family through some very trying times. Michael said: “Redkite was at the coalface by providing us with funds for everyday bills such as phone bills our rent, and other expenses when it was our hour of need. We, as a family, will never forget the contribution Redkite made.” Savannah is now in remission and the family is grateful for the support they received. To give something back to the community, they have decided to donate 10 per cent of their winnings from racehorse Superlatives to Redkite and have so far donated $1000. |
