Have Twitter Got it Wrong?
We love Twitter ... a LOT!
So much so that we even built managetwitter.com - an application that has assisted 31 000 Twitters in the first month of launch manage their Twitter accounts.
But we think their approach to monetisation is VERY ordinary, VERY linear and doesn’t match up to the depth and breadth of the Twitter user’s experience. “Promoted Tweets” will in addition only be able to add value to the Twitter user’s experience in as much as advertising can ever add value.
So in response we thought we would develop our own Twitter monetisation platform.
(Whilst we have been working on this for a while, Twitter's launch of Promoted Tweets forced us to bring our internal deadline forward - so the timing is part co-incidence, part design.)
We are proud to announce the Beta Launch of AdAdmire! AdAdmire is more like "Adsense" for followers, and not Adsense for tweets (as Twitter are implementing).
The monetisation platform has been based on addressing 2 issues:
1) Third Party Twitter applications (and Twitter itself) have a challenge monetising their applications in general and in particular in a way that further adds value to the user's experience
2) Twitter users want to follow accounts that are relevant and interesting to them - the more relevant, the more interesting, the more they want to follow that account.
More about AdAdmire
--------------------------------
AdAdmire is a monetisation platform for third party Twitter applications and a contextual self promotion platform for Twitter users.
AdAdmire is based on the premise that it remains difficult to monetise Twitter applications (including Twitter itself).
In addition it is based on the premise that whether it be real life or on Twitter, the deep human tribal desire is to connect with those that can share a relevant human experience.
Once logged into the Third Party Twitter application (eg Managetwitter.com) AdAdmire analyses a Twitter account holder's information (tweet content, location, etc), and makes intelligent recommendations to the user regarding Twitter accounts that would be of interest to follow.
Related to this, Twitter users can sign up to have their accounts advertised to appropriate viewers of AdAdmire.
Currently AdAdmire is running on managetwitter.com.
AdAdmire is currently in beta and accepting account requests from both Twitter users and third applications for accounts.
